The #FootballPeople weeks unite supporters, clubs, players, minority groups and communities affected by discrimination in a united stand for equality and inclusion. This year the weeks will take place between the 8th to 22nd October 2020.

The period will mobilise over 150,000 people in a message of diversity and inclusion. More than 2,000 events in over 50 countries will take place; it is the largest social change campaign in football.

Whatever your role in football - as a club, an FA, a supporter or community group - this is an opportunity to stand together against racism, sexism, homophobia, and for inclusion, diversity and change.

In recent years activities have taken place across the globe in almost every European country and in Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon, Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand, the United States and South Africa; supported by some of the biggest stars of football, such as Yaya Touré, Iker Casillas, Didier Drogba, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Casey Stoney, Anita Asante, Marco Verratti, Giorgio Chiellini and Edinson Cavani.

You can do a lot of different things as part of #FootballPeople, these are some ideas. You can choose the focus, and what you want to do:

• Host an online discussion or networking event
• Organise an e-sports tournament
• Put on a socially distanced football tournament
• Produce educational materials for your school
• Celebrate minority players in football
• Give football taster sessions to women or girls who do not already play football

Make it big, make it bold
Our focus is to celebrate diversity and tackle discrimination. You might want to hold an activity that is related to Black Lives Matter, or #METOO to fight sexism, or a stand against Homophobia in football or to promote the inclusion of refugees. It might be about other ethnic minorities such as the Roma and issues affecting communities that are not well known. Work out the change you want to see and how you want to contribute to it.
