International Queer Football Fans Conference to tackle homophobia in football
Queer Football Fans will host their annual international conference in Royal The Hague in the Netherlands from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th September 2018, with support from the Fare network.
The conference will take place as part of the fifth birthday activities of Roze Règâhs, the Dutch LGBT football club of ADO Den Haag and the only LGBT football fan club in the Netherlands.
Roze Règâhs operates through the work of its members, board, ADO Den Haag and support of Fare members Queer Football Fans, and Pride in Football. The event will include Alexandr Agapov, President of the Russian LGBT Sport Federation, among other guests and speakers. The conference will begin with the Pink Film Festival on 6th September with the theme "Homophobia in Football" at Haags Filmhuis. Drinks, snacks and food will be available throughout the event, with guests able to visit the city and take part in the promotion of diversity and inclusion through sport.
The event will be funded in-part by the Fare network.
