Incidents reported to Fare during January 2015
The following incidents of racism, xenophobia, extreme nationalism or homophobia have been reported to Fare during January 2015. This list is only likely to reflect a proportion of the incidents that occurred.
All reports have been brought to Fare’s attention through eye-witness or media accounts. A Fare observer scheme is also currently at place at UEFA club competitions to monitor discriminatory behaviour.
Fare has third party reporting status with UEFA, and FIFA on international matches, and at a national level we can support incident reports made by our members.

17 January 2015 – English Premier League: Swansea City v Chelsea FC
A group of Swansea fans verbally and physically abused a Chelsea disabled supporter in the vicinity of the stadium.
17 January 2015 – Italian Juniores Prov. Mantova B: Pogesse v S. Egidio Youth
Media reports in Italy said that in this Juniors league a player from Pogesse racially abused a black player of Sant'Egidio.
Neither players’ names were not disclosed.
18 January 2015 – Spanish La Liga: RCD La Coruña v FC Barcelona
A group of Deportivo La Coruña supporters sang homophobic and xenophobic chants targeting Bacelona midfielder Rafinha.
18 January 2015 – Spanish La Liga: Sevilla FC v Málaga
A group of Sevilla FC fans chanted homophobic remarks targeting Málaga players and supporters.
21 January 2015 – Facebook: Aranha
Santos Futebol Clube goalkeeper Aranha was subjected to racist abuse from Santos supporters on Facebook.
22 January 2015 – Belarusian Premier League: Dinamo Minsk
Dinamo Minsk have called off a deal to hire an openly gay TV presenter as the club’s new marketing director after fans' complaints over his sexual orientation.
26 January 2015 - U20 South American Championship: Uruguay v Brazil
Brazil international Marcos Guilherme allegedly subjected to racist abuse by Uruguay Facundo Castro
