The following incidents of racism, xenophobia, extreme nationalism or homophobia have been reported to Fare during July 2015. This list is only likely to reflect a proportion of the incidents that occurred.

All reports have been brought to Fare’s attention through eye-witness or media accounts. A Fare observer scheme is also currently at place at UEFA club competitions to monitor discriminatory behaviour.

Fare has third party reporting status with UEFA, and FIFA on international matches, and at a national level we can support incident reports made by our members.

02 July 2015 – East Belfast FC

A Confederate flag was hanged at a lamp post in front of East Belfast FC black player's house.

02 July 2015 – UEFA Europa League: FC Dinamo Tbilisi v Qäbälä FK

A flag featuring neo-Nazi symbols - SS Totenkopf and SS Division Bergmann was displayed by Dinamo Tbilisi supporters.

A report was sent to UEFA for action.

UEFA CEDB ordered partial stadium closure of Dinamo Tbilisi stadium for one next home match in the UEL and fined the club €20,000.

12 July 2015 – Ecuadorian Primera A: River Plate Ecuador v Aucas

Aucas manager Carlos Ischia racially abused the match referee Franklin Congo.

Ecuadorian FA handed a six-match ban to the Argentinian manager Carlos Ischia.

14 July 2015 - Osayamen Osawe, Hallescher FC, Germany

Neo-Nazi codes drawn on player Osayamen Osawe's car in the parking lot.

14 July 2015 - UEFA Champions League: APOEL FC v FK Vardar

APOEL home supporters displayed a banner featuring neo-Nazi symbol in a form of SS Totenkopf skull.

A report was sent to UEFA for action.

14 July 2015 - UEFA Champions League: FK Sarajevo v KKS Lech Poznań

Before the kick-off, away supporters of Lech Poznan displayed a flag with a racist slogan.

A report was sent to UEFA for action

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body have ordered KKS Lech Poznań to play its next UEFA competition match as host club behind closed doors. The Polish club has also been fined €50,000.

15 July 2015 – Thai Premier League: Bangkok Glass v Buriram United

Bangkok Glass player Lazarus Kaimbi was racially abused by Buriram captain Suchao Nutnum

16 July 2017 – UEFA Europa League: R. Charleroi SC v Beitar Jerusalem FC

Beitar supporters performed racist chants and displayed far-right banners. Charleroi fans performed Nazi salutes and anti-Semitic gestures.

A report was sent to UEFA for action.

UEFA CEDB ordered the partial stadium closure for R. Charleroi next UEFA competition match in which Charleroi would play as the host club. The Belgian club have also been fined €28,000.

The CEDB have ordered the partial closure of the Beitar Jerusalem FC stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which the club would play as the host club. The Israeli club has also been fined €95,000.

16 July 2015 – UEFA Europa League: WKS Śląsk Wrocław v IFK Göteborg

WKS Śląsk Wrocław fans displayed a neo-Nazi banner.

A report was sent to UEFA for action

The UEFA CEDB ordered the partial closure of the WKS Śląsk Wrocław SA Stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which WKS Śląsk Wrocław SA would play as the host and fined the club €10,000.

16 July 2015 – UEFA Europa League: Legia Warszawa v FC Botosani

Legia fans chanted a xenophobic anti-Roma chant.

A report was sent to UEFA for action.

16 July 2015 – UEFA Europa League: Koper v Hajduk Split

Hajduk Split charged with racist behavior by UEFA.

The UEFA CEDB ordered the partial closure of the HNK Hajduk Plc. Split Stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which HNK Hajduk Plc. Split would play as the host club and fined Hajduk Split €15,000.

17 July 2015 – Russian Premier League: Spartak Moskva v Ufa

Ufa midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong was racially abused by Spartak fans

18 July 2015 – Scotland pre-season friendly: Fraserburgh F.C. v Dundee United F.C.

Dundee United player Justin Johnson was racially abused by Fraserburgh fan.

SYFA opened launched an investigation.

22 July 2015 – UEFA Champions League: KKS Lech Poznań v FK Sarajevo

Lech supporters displayed a far-right banner.

A report was sent to UEFA for action.

23 July 2015 – UEFA Europa League: FC Botosani v Legia Warszawa

Legia fans chanted a xenophobic anti-Roma chant.

24 July 2015 – Czech Synot League: Viktoria Plzen v Slavia Praha

Viktoria Plzen fans displayed a large Islamophobic tifo, Slavia fans displayed far-right anti-Semitic banners.

Fare sent a letter to Czech FA for action.

The Czech FA fined Viktoria Plzen €3700.

26 July 2015 – Leicester City: Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy used a racial slur against an Asian man in a casino.

29 July 2015 – Real Jaén: Nuno Silva

The Real Jaén player of Portuguese origin Nuno Silva attended his unveiling wearing a T-shirt featuring an image of Francisco Franco, the Spanish dictator who ruled from 1939 to 1975.

Raheem Sterling targeted with racist WhatsApp and Twitter abuse from Liverpool fans

19 July 2015 – CSKA Moscow fan

CSKA Moscow female fan competed for the title at beauty pageant of the Russian Premier League, she was promoting neo-Nazi imagery and slogans through her social media pages.

Ecuador FA: River Plate Ecuador

Ecuadorian FA handed a six-match ban to the Argentinian manager Carlos Ischia who racially abused referee Franklin Congo on 12 July 2015.

London court: Chelsea fans

London court gave banning orders to Chelsea fans who racially abused a black man in the Paris metro ahead of PSG v Chelsea UCL fixture on February 2015.

Chelsea fans Richard Baklie, Jordan Munday, William Simpson and Josh Parsons received banning orders. Dean Callis had already accepted a five-year banning order. They are not allowed to attend any matches at home or in Europe.

Russian Premier League: Ufa Emmanuel Frimpong

The Russian FA have banned Ufa midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong for two games for reacting to racist abuse with his middle finger towards Spartak fans and being booked with a red card. The incident took place on 17 July.

UEFA: Croatia

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body imposed a deduction of one point on the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) for the qualifying competition of the 2014–16 UEFA European Football Championship.

The HNS have also been ordered to play its next two home matches in UEFA competition behind closed doors and not to play any of its remaining qualifying games at the Stadion Poljud in Split.

In addition, the HNS have been fined €100,000. The incident involved a swastika image drawn on the pitch during the aforementioned match.

UEFA: Bosnia and Herzegovina

The UEFA CEDB have ordered the partial closure of the Bosnia and Herzegovina stadium during the next their next UEFA competition match in which the team plays as the host association, in particular the North Stand of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Stadium. The association has also been fined €18,000.

The incidents involved anti-Semitic chanting during the match held on 12 June 2015.

UEFA: FC Dinamo Tbilisi

UEFA CEDB ordered partial stadium closure of Dinamo Tbilisi stadium for one next home match in the UEL and fined the club €20,000. The incident took place on 2 July.

UEFA: Hajduk Split

The UEFA CEDB ordered the partial closure of the HNK Hajduk Plc. Split Stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which HNK Hajduk Plc. Split would play as the host club and fined Hajduk Split €15,000.

UEFA: R. Charleroi SC & Beitar Jerusalem FC

The CEDB have ordered the partial closure of the Charleroi stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which Charleroi will play as the host, and, in particular Charleroi shall close the Tribune 3 Y1 of the Charleroi stadium. The Belgian club have also been fined €28,000.

The CEDB has ordered the partial closure of the Beitar Jerusalem FC stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which the club would play as the host club. The sector(s) to be closed shall at least comprehend 500 seats. The Israeli club has also been fined €95,000.

The incidents on 16 July 2015 involved far-right and anti-Semitic displays by Charleroi supporters and far-right flags and chants by Beitar fans.
