#FootballPeople weeks grants launched to drive diversity and inclusion through football
The #FootballPeople weeks unite supporters, clubs, players, minority groups and communities affected by discrimination to stand for equality and inclusion. This year’s weeks will take place from the 10th to 24th October 2019.
Grants of up to €2500 are now available for organisations to organise activities during the period at local or regional level that use football to promote diversity and social inclusion.
The #FootballPeople weeks mobilise 100,000s in a message of diversity and inclusion for all.
In recent years activities have taken place across the globe in Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon, Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand, the United States and South Africa; supported by some of the biggest stars of football, such as Yaya Touré, Iker Casillas, Didier Drogba, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Marco Verratti, Giorgio Chiellini and Edinson Cavani.

With over 150,000 direct participants and more than 2,000 events in over 60 countries, it is the largest campaign of its kind in football. The period gives clubs, national associations, supporters and community groups the opportunity to stand together against discrimination of al kinds.
This year Fare is offering small grants of €500 for community events such as football tournaments, panel discussions or workshops with a clear message. Event Grants of up to €2500 are also offered for those organisations looking to organise national or international events around the campaign.
The event grants are to put on conferences, panel discussions, roundtable events, festivals etc that will become the highlights of the #FootballPeople weeks campaign. On top of the financial support, Fare can help you develop the programme, find international speakers and generate publicity for your event.
This year the #FootballPeople weeks will take place between 10-24 October. The deadline to apply for grants was 11 August.
