Arsenal FC to host fourth Healthy Stadia conference

Professionals involved in the cross-cutting fields of sport, health and community development will come together on 27 April for the fourth European Healthy Stadia conference held at the Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal FC, in London.

Over 250 participants are expected to attend the day-long event, which will have a specific focus on the growing interaction between academic research, policy and practice in the field.

Presentations underlining the benefits of partnerships established between research institutions, clubs and governing bodies will address topics including: physical activity interventions, healthier catering options, mental health & dementia support, tobacco control & alcohol policies, obesity & weight-loss interventions, active travel & active spectatorship, evaluation & research partnerships, and sports sponsorship & public health.

Best practice examples will be shared by a number of sport governing bodies, including UEFA, European Club Association, English Premier League, the Gaelic Athletic Association and the European Golf Tour and the European Union Sport Unit, amongst others.
