Fare Irish member SARI (Sport Against Racism in Ireland) is looking for local and international teams to go head to head and enjoy a day of fun and cultural displays as part of their annual intercultural tournament Sari Soccerfest.
The 20th edition of the tournament will be held at the Phoenix Park, Dublin, on 10 September. Thirty-two male teams and four women’s teams are expected to compete on the day and over 4000 spectators from a wide range of nationalities living in Ireland to join them, making of the Soccerfest the largest football tournament in the country.
This year, in partnership with Sport Ireland, the annual initiative will mark the launch of the European Week of Sport and will be expanded to showcase a range of sporting activities, including climbing wall, volleyball, table tennis, walking football, orienteering, capoeira and cricket coaching, encouraging participantes and the spectators to #BEACTIVE.
Teams interested in playing must call SARI and fill in an application form. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
