REWINS project training course to aid refugee women inclusion in sports - Fill out our survey to help
The Fare network together with Organisation Earth (Greece), Girl Power (Denmark) and Polisportiva San Precario (Italy) are launching a survey aimed at identifying the refugees' barriers in participation in local sport activities.
The EU project is called REWINS (REfugee Women INclusion through Sports) and the aim is to promote positive attitudes towards refugee women in sports. In order to do this we would like to collect more information from football coaches and refugee women in order to guide us in our work.
The REWINS consortium will work in the upcoming months on a Research Study that will address the barriers to participation of refugee women in local sport activities. The Research Study will compress the results of online questionnaires and other research, and the results will be published online.
These results will lay the foundations for the development of four football women’s teams (locals and refugees) and a Training Course for Coaches. The Research Study will be compiled and edited by project partners Organisation Earth.
To be able to create women’s teams that work towards meeting their needs when it comes to being active in team sport, Fare network and its partners have prepared two surveys that will guide us in understanding the barriers faced by refugee women in sport and the experiences of coaches that work with refugee women.
Football coaches
We invite all the football coaches who are interested in sharing their experiences with us to fill in this anonymous survey - link here. The results of this survey will be part of the Research Study and the training course materials which will be available online.
Refugee women
A second survey is open to all refugee women who would like to share their needs when it comes to being actively engaged in sport. Please help us identify your needs and barriers to being active in sports teams by sharing your opinions in this anonymous survey - link here.
The deadline to fill in the surveys is the 15th of June. Please feel free to share the surveys with your friends and colleagues.
