Croatian NGOs plan anti-discrimination strategy at Fare roundtable

Croatian non-governental organisations will come together this afternoon (28 January) in Zagreb to discuss human rights and football as part of the work of the Fare network to address issues of discrimination, including nationalism, racism, LGBT exclusion and gender equality in the Balkans.

The roundtable event, is organised by Fare at the Human Rights House in central Zagreb. The gathering will look at the current situation of minority groups in football and discuss anti-discrimination mechanisms, sustainable prevention strategies and share best practice on activities that promote and protect human rights.

The event follows on from a similar gathering in Sarajevo in 2015 and will be the first of a series of Fare initiatives planned for the region in 2016.
