UEFA has cleared striker Christian Vieri of all allegations of racism during Internazionale FC’s UEFA Champions League match against Newcastle United FC at the San Siro on 11 March.
The Inter forward was accused of making racist remarks towards Newcastle’s Tresor Lomana Lua Lua. Newcastle made an official complaint to the UEFA delegate at the match. However, as there were no witnesses to the incident the allegations made by the Newcastle player could not be established.
The disciplinary case opened against Inter for the improper conduct of their supporters in the above-mentioned game against Newcastle will be dealt with at a later date.
