FARE Action Week In Poland26 October 2002

To coincide with FARE Action Week and as part of their “Let’s Kick Racism Out of the Stadiums” campaign the Never Again Association (Stowarzyszenie Nigdy Wiecej) handed in a petition to the President of the Polish Football Association. The petition demanded action against racism and anti-Semitism in Polish stadiums and was sign by about 30,000 people.

Never Again Association produced a poster of Tomasz Waldoch (the former captain of the Polish national team during the last World Cup), and anti-racist leaflets. Also the Emmanuel Olisadebe poster and the anti-racist music CD were distributed to football fans.

An Anti-Nazi Group in Pila organised the match “Let’s kick racism out of the stadiums” during the “Days of Tolerance” and in Torun anti-racist posters were distributed on the streets. In addition, as part of the FARE Action Week, meetings, concerts, and football games were organised in several cities in Poland.
