We want to hear from volunteer coaches in grassroots sport!
A survey has been launched that recognises volunteers working in grassroots sports with children and young people. If you fit this description please fill in the survey!
The importance of volunteers in providing sport opportunities across Europe is well known. Volunteers are called upon to help with the organisation and running of sports activities, and to provide social, personal, and educational support.
But despite their pivotal role in grassroots sport, volunteers often lack real support and resources. Structured programmes and trainings to provide volunteers with valuable and necessary skills are few and far between.
The RePLAY2.0 project aims to help this issue by developing and promoting training and mentoring opportunities for volunteer coaches to help increase their positive impact on disadvantaged young people across Europe.
To achieve this goal, the project consortium has developed a survey – available in Dutch and English – to better understand the needs of volunteer coaches in Europe, particularly those working with young people who might be disadvantaged.
Fare invites volunteer coaches to complete the survey:

RePLAY 2.0 is running from January 2021 to June 2023. The project consortium is international, led by Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Margherita Sport e Vita Basket (MSV) with GEA - Societa’ Cooperativa Sociale (Italy), Big Bang Ballers (France), Instituto Universitario da Maia ISMAI (Portugal), University of Umea (Sweden), Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (Spain), University of Belgrade (Serbia), and Fare network.
