‘ALL IN: Towards gender balance in sport’ project calls for best practices on gender equality

"ALL IN: Towards gender balance in sport" is a European Union (EU) and Council of Europe (COE) joint project in effect between 1 March 2018 and 31 October 2019.

Its aim is to address the persistent under-representation of women and girls in the world of sport. It aims to do so by providing support to public authorities and sport organisations when designing and implementing policies and programmes addressing gender inequalities in sport.

As part of the European Union and Council of Europe’s joint project “ALL IN: Towards gender balance in sport”, the initiative will include a collection of practices and resources on gender equality, as well as strategies for gender mainstreaming in sport.

An online library will be set up to gather examples of training seminars, educational materials, awareness-raising initiatives and tools, guidelines and reports developed by public authorities responsible for sport, national, European and international sport organisations and media organisations when addressing gender inequalities in the field of sport.

6 strategic areas will be covered by the online library:

  • Gender equality in leadership
  • Gender equality in coaching
  • Gender equality in participation (from grassroots to elite sport)
  • Gender equality in media / communication
  • Combating gender-based violence
  • Gender mainstreaming

The Fare network will act as a partner organisation of the project and will offer support to help fight for gender equality in sport. In doing so Fare is calling for participants to help contribute your own practices and resources to support the project. This will help inform the materials collated for the online library.

Should you be interested in promoting your practices and resources and helping to inform on best practices for addressing gender inequalities in sport, please fill in the form below providing your materials. The deadline to submit your materials is September 20th.
