Polish FA urge clubs to remove racist banners06 November 2003

Delegates at a high profile conference on stadium security, organised by the Polish FA, were told of the need to remove racist and nazi symbols or slogans from football grounds. All major club officials, as well as the media, UEFA, the Council of Europe and foreign FAs' representatives were present at the conference held in Kielce, Poland on 6 November 2003.

Jacek Purski, a representative of the “Never Again” Association was one of the keynote speakers. He referred to the recently published “Never Again” – FA handbook as a guide to inappropriate symbols. Jacek emphasised the need for proactive measures, such as supporting anti-racist fan initiatives.
