In celebration of Black History Month (October) and the Anti-Racism Week of Action in Football, (17-28 October), “Football Unites, Racism Divides” will be involved in a series of events in England.
- They will be running a Streetkick (3-a-side street based football) tournament with representatives from local clubs;
- they will launch an exhibition about Arthur Wharton – the world’s first black professional footballer;
- their education worker will be visiting schools with the History of Black Footballers Exhibition;
- and finally there is ‘Communities United’ – a 5-a-side tournament played by refugee groups from around Britain.
