Findings of study on media coverage of women’s football in France to launch tomorrow18 October 2017

NewresearchfromParis-basedLesDegommeuses,awomen’sfootballteamandequalitygroup,willhighlightthelackofvisibilityofwomen’sfootballintheFrenchmedia.

The study, will be presented tomorrow (19 October) in Paris as part of the Football People weeks, is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the output of 10 French print outlets between 2 and 25 September 2017.

Veronica Noseda of Les Degommeuses, “We decided to produce this study to make visible what is not visible enough – women’s football – and also quantity this underrepresentation.

“Our aim in producing this important study is to work with the media and the football industry to change how women’s football is perceived, valued and therefore grows”.

The launch takes place at 10.30 CEST at the Quai d’Orsay, Paris.
