23-24th October, Brussels
Burson Cohn and Wolfe organise their “Corner Where All Play” light panel debate on the role of football in Europe in tackling racism and discrimination while educating football supporters in Brussels. Newly appointed members of the European and the Belgian Parliament, will be attending the panel. As a side-event a Playstation FIFA tournament between teams composed of a professional e-sport player and a refugee each, that is live-streamed by the participants, will take place. The aim is to promote inclusiveness and togetherness, while demonstrating the positive impact of e-sports. Social inclusion issues combined with issues of the esports-community, are tackled: on the one hand, the gaming community has for too long suffered from a negative reputation of xenophobia and racism, on the other hand, the event will encourage the development of news skills and empowerment of refugees.
